Best Jayhawks in the NFL – Number 7: Aqib Talib

NFL cornerback from 2008-Present

The third current NFL player and fourth Super Bowl champion to appear on this list is Aqib Talib, who has been a member of several different teams.

Talib was drafted in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has also spent time with the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos. He won a Super Bowl title with the Broncos in the 2015 season.

Talib was a great corner during his time in Tampa Bay, but the Bucs offered him up in a trade with New England after he was suspended for taking Adderall without a prescription. He then went on to spend two seasons with the Patriots before signing a contract with Denver prior to the 2014 season.

After four years in Denver, Talib was traded to the Los Angeles Rams.

In 11 NFL seasons, Aqib Talib has tallied 362 tackles, 117 defended passes, 34 interceptions (ten taken back to the house), and forced four fumbles and recovered three fumbles.

He may be a hot head on the field, but Talib has shown that he can both talk the talk and walk the walk for sure.
