Good:

Young Defensive Players

The Kansas City Chiefs got some very strong contributions from young players on defense.  I could do a page for each one individually, but that could go on forever.  Chris Jones, Ramik Wilson, Justin March, Rakeem Nunez-Roches, and Dadi Nicolas all had excellent games for the Chiefs this week.  While Jones did stand out from the rest, the fact that so many young guys played well is what has me excited.

While Chris Jones got the hype for his dominance on the defensive line, it was hard to not notice Justin March and Dadi Nicolas flying across the field.  Both young linebackers seem to have an extra gear that you don’t see often.  In fact, at one point I was calling for Nicolas to slow down a bit so he wouldn’t overrun the play!  Ramik Wilson and Rakeem Nunez-Roches also played very well, though they didn’t have the huge head-turning plays that Jones, March, and Nicolas did.

Fans and media analysts have been talking about the Chiefs “Super Bowl window” all offseason.  Many seem to think that the Chiefs only have a year or two to make a run.  However, I am going to disagree with that completely.  The young talent on this roster makes me think the Chiefs are going to be good for a very long time.
