Knile Davis And Darrin Reaves

It is no secret that the Kansas City Chiefs have a very deep corps of running backs.  However, the Chiefs will be without Jamaal Charles and Charcandrick West this week against Chicago.  Spencer Ware has already been getting the starting snaps, so there isn’t as much impact at the top of the roster.  The real questions comes in at the deep end of the depth chart.

Chiefs fans, and indeed most fans of teams in need of a running back, know about Knile Davis.  Davis has had enough quality games and big highlights to catch the eyes of a lot of people.  He is also a popular name to throw around when talking about KC’s trade options.  Not nearly as well known is Darrin Reaves.  However, Reaves has looked good in his preseason opportunities.

With the first round of roster cuts coming on Sunday, you can expect teams to start picking up the phones to inquire about trade options.  You can also expect teams to start coming up with ways to hide young talent.  Expect Kansas City General Manager John Dorsey to be working on both angles when it comes to Davis and Reaves.
