Can Parker Ehinger Rebound?

The Kansas City Chiefs have been rolling with rookie Parker Ehinger at the left guard spot so far this preseason.  Ehinger took over the starting role during OTAs and hasn’t looked back since.  To be honest, the Chiefs are showing quite a bit of faith in Ehinger, who is being converted from offensive tackle to offensive guard in his rookie season.

Ehinger’s inexperience definitely showed against the Rams last week as he was beaten repeatedly.  Of course, Los Angeles features about as elite a defensive front as you could ever imagine.  That didn’t stop fans from calling for Parker Ehinger to be benched in favor of Jah Reid, which I am calling a major overreaction.

Parker Ehinger played well enough against a quality Seahawks defense, and also had some very good moments against the Rams.  Last week was a learning experience for the rookie, and fans should expect Ehinger to continue to grow and develop.  Facing the Bears this week should help with that growth and development.
