Fantasy Football Top 15 Deep Sleepers for 2016 – Number Eight: Bruce Ellington

Bruce Ellington might not be a familiar name. He is one of Chip Kelly’s wide receivers for the San Francisco 49ers. He’s not just any wide receiver, he’s the slot guy. Chip Kelly loves using slot receivers. Former Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews had 229 targets during his two year period in Kelly’s offense.

This means something similar should be heading Ellington’s way. The 49ers are a horrible team so most of the points Ellington will score will come during “garbage time”.

The points count the same in fantasy football when ever they happen. It doesn’t matter. He could be a stud according to some fantasy experts.

Matt Harmon a fantasy football expert for NFL.com loves him some Ellington. Here‘s an article explaining why he loves him so much.

Ellington should get plenty of opportunities to score in Kelly’s offense and that means you’ll get plenty of fantasy points as well. A win win.

By the way. Getting a player from a losing team that has to throw the ball a lot to stay in games is a great idea. Look what happened in Jacksonville last year for example. The Jaguars put up the fantasy points. Hopefully something similar occurs in San Francisco this season.
