Fantasy Football Top 15 Deep Sleepers for 2016 – Number Two: Steve Smith

Baltimore Ravens wide Receiver, Steve Smith, is recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered last season. He came off the PUP list recently meaning he’s progressing in the right direction. He may or may not be ready to play week one of the regular season.

Due to being injured. Smith’s value is low. Also his age hurts him here as well. Smith is 37-years-old and past his prime. He had a good season before the injury last year however.

He caught 46 passes for 670 yards and three touchdowns in seven games last season. If he played a full season, he could have made over 1,000 yards and around eight touchdowns. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

If Smith can get healthy and return to his former self, he’ll be a steal. His current ADP is 50th best wide receiver and his going 140th overall. I don’t think he will put up great numbers like in years past but he could be a nice bench player for you team in case of injury or bye weeks.
