Fantasy Football Top 15 Deep Sleepers for 2016 – Number Six: Jerick McKinnon

He’s back. The Minnesota Twins running back, Jerick McKinnon, looked like the real deal while filling in for the absent Adrian Peterson in 2014. He carried the ball 113 times for 538 yards for a 4.8 yards per carry average. Not to shabby for an “AD” fill in.

If Peterson goes down again, McKinnon will look to add to that and more. Peterson isn’t getting any younger and one of these season he will hit the imaginary wall. Will it be this year? No one knows.

If you draft Peterson, it might be a great idea to snag McKinnon. He’s a proven backup late in the draft as a solid insurance plan if something were to happen to Peterson.

McKinnon’s ADP is 183 overall and the 61st running back. Try to add him around this area in your draft, especially if you own Peterson.
