Potential September Call-Ups – Number 12: Terrance Gore

It won’t surprise anyone should Terrance Gore be called up to join the big leaguers in September, as he’s been a September call up the past two years.

Having Gore on the base paths could very well be the difference between baseball in Kansas City or watching other teams contend for the crown in 2016.

Gore has an impressive .000 batting average, but we all know that he’s not being brought to Kansas City for his bat (he’s batting .232/.313 /.248 with Northwest Arkansas in 83 games).

Gore is strictly a speed guy for the Royals and has been the difference maker in several games for them. He’s had ten stolen bases in three seasons and had another four during the past two playoff stints.

Terrance Gore will never be a starter for the Royals. He’s always going to be that pinch runner who comes in to steal a bag for the boys in blue.

That’s Gore’s role though and with the Royals needing as many victories as possible down the stretch, having Gore on the base paths could very well be the difference between baseball in Kansas City or watching other teams contend for the crown in 2016.
