Kansas City Chiefs: Charcandrick West Should Go On The Trade Block

News broke this weekend that should perk up ears in the Kansas City Chiefs front office. Starting Patriots running back Dion Lewis is going to be out for an undetermined amount of time. That could leave New England searching for a starting running back as we close in on the start of the 2016 NFL season.
The Patriots have LeGarette Blount and Brandon Boldin on their roster. Both are solid power run game options, but are not the same type of runners as Dion Lewis. With Tom Brady already on the shelf, New England could decide that the offense needs a boost that Blount and Boldin just don’t supply. Charcandrick West would fit in very well there.
This will all come down to the health of Dion Lewis. If he can play early in the season, the Pats will sit tight. If they think he will miss several games, don’t be surprised to see Bill Belichick make a move to help out his young quarterback. Adding West would also allow the Pats to move on from one of their power backs after the return of Lewis.
