Fantasy Football Rookies Number Eight: Tyler Boyd

Wide Receiver – Cincinnati Bengals

Replacing Veterans:  The Bengals relied a lot on Mohammad Sanu and Marvin Jones in 2015.  However, both players left in Free Agency.  To fill the void, the Bengals drafted Tyler Boyd.  Boyd is a dynamic playmaker who can break off big plays.  He should get a lot of chances to do just that.

Limited Options:  Boyd is going to be Dalton’s third target after AJ Green and Tyler Eifert.  The Bengals also have a pair of running backs that will get the ball a lot.  That could result in a whole lot fewer opportunities for Tyler Boyd to get the ball.

Draft Value – Thirteenth Round:  Tyler Boyd is a classic “boom or bust” option to grab late in the draft.  He’ll be the third option in the Bengals passing game, but should still be able to put up points as he is filling in the roles of a pair of veterans from 2015.
