Fantasy Football Rookies Number Nine: Josh Doctson

Wide Receiver – Washington Redskins

Playmaker: Josh Doctson comes with some high expectations as a first round pick.  The Redskins were clearly intent on getting some more weapons for quarterback Kirk Cousins.  Doctson was considered by many scouts to be the top wide receiver in the 2016 draft class.  He is a big play threat with catch and run ability.

PUP List: Josh Doctson would have been much higher on this list if it wasn’t for his current Achilles injury.  The Redskins have no timetable for Doctson at all right now, and that is scary for fantasy owners.  On top of simply not being available, it is tough to guess how good he will be right away.

Draft Value – Fifteenth Round: If your roster is already filled out, Doctson is a good player to take a late round flyer on.  There is just too much uncertainty around him right now to really value him much higher.  Make sure you have your wide receivers already set before adding him to your roster as you don’t want to be stuck with a guy who isn’t playing.
