Fantasy Football Rookies Number Fifteen: Malcolm Mitchell

Wide Receiver – New England Patriots

Patriots Are Mad:  Point blank, this is going to be a good year to use New England players on your fantasy team.  That will escalate even more when Tom Brady makes his return.  There will be a lot of blowouts this year where the Patriots just run up the score on their opponents.  Malcolm Mitchell won’t be a primary target for the Pats, but he should get in on the action.

Gaining Brady’s Confidence:  One of the toughest things for a Patriots wide receiver to do is gain the confidence of quarterback Tom Brady.  He doesn’t just throw the ball to anyone.  It’s why players like Wes Welker and Julian Edelman have excelled while other talented players have not.  Mitchell will get a chance, but he needs to show early reliability.

Draft Value – Waiver Wire:  Until Malcolm Mitchell can show that he is going to be a prominent target for Tom Brady, you’ll want to hold up.  However, keep Mitchell bookmarked so that you can grab him quickly if he does start getting use.
