Safety

Denver Broncos – TJ Ward/Darian Stewart:  Without a doubt, TJ Ward is a solid all around player.  Ward can hold his own on this list and puts the Broncos towards the top.  His counterpart, Darian Stewart, was no slouch last year either.  This is a solid pairing that should be considered one of the best in the league.  Rank: 2nd

Kansas City Chiefs – Eric Berry/Ron Parker:  Eric Berry is a flat out stud.  To come back from cancer in less than a year and pull in All Pro honors is just insane.  Don’t give me the “oh, they just did it because it’s a feel good story”.  If you watched him play all season, you know perfectly well he balled out.  Ron Parker is a strong compliment playing the deep defender role.  It’s close, but the Chiefs get the edge on this one.  Rank: 1st

Oakland Raiders – Karl Joseph/Reggie Nelson:  I was a huge Karl Joseph fan coming into the 2016 NFL Draft, but the truth is that he is entirely untested.  He is complimented by veteran Reggie Nelson who has had an up and down career.  They shouldn’t be terrible, but there are definitely some question marks here.  Rank: 3rd

San Diego Chargers – Jahleel Addae/Dwight Lowery:  This really isn’t good for the Chargers.  They moved on from Eric Weddle this year, and it looks to have been a mistake.  Jahleel Addae has been a career backup for the Chargers until last season.  Dwight Lowery is a career journeyman who isn’t as good as his numbers would make you think.  This will be rough.  Rank: 4th

Total Points – DEN: 28  KC: 35  OAK: 32  SD: 23
