Fantasy Football Running Backs: #9 LeSean McCoy – Buffalo Bills

LeSean McCoy drove Fantasy Football owners crazy in 2015 as he started the season very slow, and ended it with an MCL injury.  He’s coming back on the field in 2016 after a tumultuous offseason that saw him get into a bit of legal trouble in his old stomping grounds of Philadelphia.  Fantasy owners are hoping that will just fuel his desire to return to a top level performance.

Is Shady Back?:  There is a legitimate possibility that the Bills simply did not know how to utilize McCoy’s talents.  They obviously caught on as the season went though, as LeSean McCoy was able to rip off seven straight 100 yard performances before his injury.  That’s a good sign heading into 2016.

Is Shady Really Back?:  An MCL sprain isn’t much to worry about.  Neither is the threat of splitting carries now that Karlos Williams has been suspended for the first four games.  However, these things could be weighing on the mind of the Buffalo leadership, which could cause them to make some bad decisions regarding his use.

Draft Value – 3rd Round:  Grab LeSean McCoy at the start of the third round if you can.  There are enough other running backs with more hype that he should be there.  This is tremendous potential value if McCoy can get back to being the player he was in Philadelphia and at the end of last season.
