Fantasy Football Running Backs: #1 Todd Gurley – Los Angeles Rams

The 2015 NFL Rookie of the Year is primed for a strong follow up season, especially for Fantasy Football owners.  Gurley turned heads all last season as a breakout player.  This year should be even bigger for him as he is set to play a full season on the gridiron, and has a year of experience under his belt.

A Full Season: The big factor in making Todd Gurley #1 on this Fantasy Football list is that he will be playing a full season this year.  Gurley was third in rushing yards, tied for second in touchdowns, and second in 20+ yard carries…but only played 13 games in 2015.  With a full year to work with, Gurley could easily lead the league in every category.

Too Heavy A Load?  With any running back in today’s NFL, you have to wonder about the work load Todd Gurley will be getting.  More carries equals more hits taken, and that means more opportunities for injury or to tire over the course of the year.

Draft Value – 1st Round: Todd Gurley is going to be one of the first players off the board in every Fantasy Football league this year.  He may be out of reach if you’re not picking in the top five.  If you do have that early pick, Gurley is worth the investment.  He picks up yards, rips off big plays, and scores touchdowns.  You can’t ask for much more from your first pick.
