The defense for the Kansas City Chiefs had a bit of a slow day.  That’s not too concerning after the impressive performance they had on Saturday though.  A lot of this has to do with the Chiefs missing so many key personnel on the starting defense.

There were some highlights though as Marcus Cooper and Steven Nelson split player of the day awards for the defense.  Both players recorded a breakup and an interception.  That’s good for Nelson who was tested a lot on Saturday.  He gave up some yards, so seeing how he responds is important.  The Chiefs need him to be confident.

Apart from that, the only real highlights were the changes on the defensive depth chart.  Justin March and Ramik Wilson both getting first team snaps is very encouraging for their future.  Chiefs fans will get excited about both Dezman Moses and Dadi Nicolas moving up after their performances on Saturday, but I have a feeling this will be short-lived once Frank Zombo returns.
