Kansas City Chiefs: Good, Bad, & Ugly Vs Seattle
By Ben Almquist
Good:
Cairo Santos Was On Point
The Kansas City Chiefs opted to not use any of their 90 man roster spots to bring in competition for their Special Teams group. Cairo Santos showed Chiefs fans why that is this week with an outstanding opening performance that saw him put nine points on the board for KC.
Cairo Santos went a perfect three for three on field goals, which included one kick from 49 yards and another monster from 58. That kind of range and accuracy is exactly what teams hope to find in their kickers, and it shows that the Chiefs appear to have made a solid investment into Santos.
Kickers are a vital piece in a championship game. The ability to win the game from 50 yards out is a huge weapon for coaches. If Santos can build on this performance, Chiefs fans should expect a solid season for the team that will undoubtedly include some clutch kicking spots.
