Good:
Cairo Santos Was On Point
The Kansas City Chiefs opted to not use any of their 90 man roster spots to bring in competition for their Special Teams group. Â Cairo Santos showed Chiefs fans why that is this week with an outstanding opening performance that saw him put nine points on the board for KC.
Cairo Santos went a perfect three for three on field goals, which included one kick from 49 yards and another monster from 58. Â That kind of range and accuracy is exactly what teams hope to find in their kickers, and it shows that the Chiefs appear to have made a solid investment into Santos.
Cairo Santos said he thinks he may have been able to hit the 58-yarder from about 5 yards further out. Quick math tells me that’s 63 yards.

Kickers are a vital piece in a championship game. Â The ability to win the game from 50 yards out is a huge weapon for coaches. Â If Santos can build on this performance, Chiefs fans should expect a solid season for the team that will undoubtedly include some clutch kicking spots.
