Marcus Peters Picks Up Where He Left Off

If you have been following along with my Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp reports, then this won’t be a surprise to you…Marcus Peters had an interception Saturday.  Peters has been an absolute stud in Training Camp, consistently harassing the quarterbacks on the roster by picking them off.  That continued here.

The Seahawks had put together a strong opening drive and were threatening to score when Marcus Peters stepped in front of a Russell Wilson pass into the endzone.  Peters snagged the ball and fell out of bounds at the one yard line.  It was an impressive play that both took the ball back for KC, and prevented a touchdown for Seattle.  Hard to ask much more than that.

Marcus Peters will need to have a strong season for the Chiefs.  It’s not uncommon for guys that have dominant rookie campaigns to fall off in their second year.  That does not appear to be in the cards for Peters who looked like he was ready to get into the regular season.
