Kansas City Chiefs: Good, Bad, & Ugly Vs Seattle
By Ben Almquist
The Kansas City Chiefs took to the field to kick off their preseason schedule against the Seattle Seahawks this past week.
Football is back and the Kansas City Chiefs started their preseason schedule this weekend with a contest against the Seattle Seahawks. The Chiefs would end up losing this game on a last second Hail Mary and follow-up 2-Point Conversion. While losing the game in that fashion does sting a little, the final score of a preseason game is meaningless. It’s what happened over the course of the game that is important, and we’ll break that down for you right here.
The Chiefs were clearly the better team for most of the day as the defense stifled the Seahawks, and the offense was able to move the ball. There were definitely some hiccups throughout the game, but that is to be expected in the preseason. Overall though, my reactions to this game were very positive. There is definitely a lot to be excited about for this season.
That’s what my reactions here will reflect. There was definitely more good than bad in this game, and really the only ugly was the way it ended. I’m sure there will be those out there that are casting doom and gloom because the Chiefs lost an exhibition game, but don’t be discouraged. Those nay-sayers are just wrong.
So let’s get into it. Everything for what it’s worth, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Here is how the Chiefs preseason opener went down on Saturday.
