Biggest Trap Games for the Chiefs – Number 4: New York Jets

In week three, the Kansas City Chiefs will welcome in the New York Jets to Arrowhead Stadium for a 3:25 kickoff. While I predicted this game would be a victory for Kansas City, it very well could go the other way.

That Jets defense can shut down just about anything.

The Jets aren’t a bad team. They’re potential playoff contenders this season and they just missed out last year.

New York re-signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to a one-year deal and Fitzpatrick has played well against Kansas City in his career. He used to dismantle them when he was with the Bills and I always worry about facing him (which I doubt many others do).

The Jets also have one of the best defenses in the entire league. If the offensive line can’t protect Alex Smith and the wide receiving corps have a bad day, this game is as good as done. That Jets defense can shut down just about anything.

The main reason I had this penciled in as a win was because it’s a home game for the Chiefs, and they tend to play well at home. That doesn’t always mean anything though, and the Jets could very well steal a victory from the Chiefs early in the season.
