Fantasy Football Sleepers to Target in 2016 – Number 11: Melvin Gordon

Melvin Gordon was arguably the biggest draft bust last season. He ended his rookie campaign with only 641 rushing yards and no touchdowns.

Gordon was an easy pick to be a sleeper this year because no one is expecting much from him after such a disappointing rookie season.

That’s right. The guy the San Diego Chargers traded up for in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft didn’t see the end zone at all last season. He was a colossal disappointment for not only Chargers fans, but for anyone who had him on their fantasy football team as well.

Gordon was an easy pick to be a sleeper this year because no one is expecting much from him after such a disappointing rookie season.

Gordon never got more than ten points in a game last season fantasy wise, but that should change in 2016. For one, he’s healthier than he was last season. He has no other competition trying to steal his job, and the offensive line shouldn’t be as banged up as they were last season.

Obviously, Melvin Gordan isn’t worth drafting early on, but he’s a great late round pick and could end up being a decent player for your team.
