Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp Recap Day Six
By Ben Almquist
On the other side of the field for the Kansas City Chiefs, inside linebacker Justin March continued to make believers out of everyone who watches him. The second year man out of Akron has been an absolute stud on the practice field as he has picked up where he left off at last year’s Training Camp before his injury shortened his season.
If you’re not on the Justin March bandwagon, you had better stop wasting time and get on board. The young man has done nothing but impress everyone with almost every aspect of his game. March has shown impressive strength, solid athleticism, and an almost elite level nose for the ball. He’s definitely going to give starter Josh Mauga a run for his money.
Along with Justin March, Chris Jones has also been very impressive which continued into today. Jones has shown his ability to stop the run and rush the passer, but today he also showed that he can knock down passes at the line of scrimmage. With his incredible size, Jones’ ability to get his hand on the ball will be an added asset to the defensive front.
There are still some concerns for this Chiefs defense, but at the very least the future is starting to look bright for them. With March, Jones, Marcus Peters, and others as the building blocks, the Kansas City Chiefs may be able to keep an elite defense in place for years to come.
