2016 Fantasy Football Defenses: Number 10 – Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals are a well-rounded team, at least in the regular season. The offense scores enough points that the defense can be aggressive most games. This typically leads to big plays for the Bengals and big fantasy points.

The Bengals scored less than seven points three times last season. Conversely, the team in orange and black scored double-digit fantasy points in six of the 16 games. Cincinnati’s highest fantasy points total came against the St.Louis Rams at home. The Bengals scored 17 points on defense/special teams – a nice night for fantasy owners!

The Bengals scored less than seven points three times last season. Conversely, Cincinnati scored double-digit fantasy points in six of the 16 games.

During the game, Leon Hall intercepted a pass and ran it back for six late in the fourth quarter. The points added insult to injury for the Rams. The Bengals beat the Rams 31 to 7.

The team totaled 21 interceptions (one for a touchdown), ten forced fumbles, 15 fumble recoveries and 42 sacks on defense last year. That’s an average of 1.3 interceptions, 0.6 forced fumbles, almost a fumble recovery and 2.6 sacks per game.

Cincinnati has four good, six bad and six decent match-ups this season. This team is too consistent to get blown out in games. Feel confident in drafting the Bengals defense as your every week starter.
