2016 Fantasy Football Defenses: Number Four – Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers made it to the Super Bowl last season due in large part to their defense. The team had a sense of the football and made other teams play. Also playing in a weak division helped as well.

Carolina had eight double-digit fantasy point games. They even raked up three games over 20 fantasy points scored. The best game for Carolina from a defensive standpoint came against the Dallas Cowboys on the road week 12.

Carolina had eight double-digit fantasy point games. They even raked up three games over 20 fantasy points scored.

In the game, the Panthers scored a couple of defense touchdowns. One came from corner, Kurt Coleman‘s interception and the other by linebacker, Luke Kuechly interception return. Carolina went on to win the game, 33 to 14.

The Panthers will have to overcome the loss of Josh Norman to the Washington Redskins. He provided the team with some eye-popping numbers. He had four interceptions, two of which lead to touchdowns.

The match-ups look okay for Carolina this season. The team has three good, three bad and ten solid match-ups.

Look for the Panthers to end the season at or near the top five in defense again this season. You should pick up this defense no later than round 13 of the fantasy draft.
