Kansas City Chiefs Top Ten Players Who Need To Step Up – Number Nine: Marcus Peters

The Kansas City Chiefs scored huge with 2015 1st round draft pick Marcus Peters.  Peters had a stellar rookie campaign, but the word is out on him now and opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers will be studying him. This is an important year for his development.  He’ll need to work hard to fix a few areas in his game, or opposing teams will find his weakness.

The sophomore slump happens to a lot of players.  Marcus Peters is an excellent corner and has the potential to be THE best in the league, but he is also susceptible.  If Peters can continue to refine his craft, he can become a legit shut down corner which would take a ton of pressure off of the rest of the defense.
