Kansas City Chiefs Players On The Roster Bubble – Number Nine: Albert Wilson

There is no question that the Kansas City Chiefs invested heavily at wide receiver this offseason.  Veterans Rod Streater and Mike Williams are both being given opportunities to resurrect their careers.  Draft picks Demarcus Robinson and Tyreek Hill are top talents who fell in the draft due to character concerns.

That puts last year’s wide receivers in a bit of a tough spot, and Albert Wilson seems to be a common name thrown out there from Chiefs fans.  Wilson has worked his way from an Undrafted Free Agent (UDFA) to the Chiefs #2 wide receiver last season.  Despite that development, he didn’t put up good numbers and many people think he should be on the way out.

For my part, I disagree.  Albert Wilson may not be the #2 wide receiver this season, but the Chiefs would need at least four players to beat him out before considering cutting him.  Wilson has been working in the slot for most of the offseason, which should fit his talents well.
