Kansas City Chiefs Players On The Roster Bubble – Number Two: DeAnthony Thomas
The rumors surrounding Kansas City Chiefs return ace DeAnthony Thomas have been rampant since last season. Thomas suffered a bad concussion and missed significant time. With his small stature, that is naturally going to be a concern for coaches and the front office.
It was then reported that Thomas was cleared of symptoms, but would be a healthy scratch for unknown reasons. Then a rumor surfaced this offseason that the 49ers were poking around about a trade that would reunite Thomas with his college coach Chip Kelly. This got a lot of people talking about his future with the Chiefs
Those are all rumors though. What isn’t a rumor is Tyreek Hill who the Chiefs drafted this year. Hill is a very similar player to Thomas, and has been impressing everyone in offseason workouts and practices. That’s a real cause for alarm in the DAT camp. If DeAnthony Thomas wants to make this team, he has got to show he brings something that Hill doesn’t.
