Kansas City Chiefs Top Rookies To Watch – Number Ten: Dadi Nicolas – Outside Linebacker

The Kansas City Chiefs are pretty stacked at outside linebacker.  Even with Justin Houston likely to miss the first several games of the season,  this group still features a pretty strong mix of talent and experience.  That gives Dadi Nicolas a big hill to climb to make the roster, let alone get playing time.

At the top of the list are the aforementioned Houston, and his counterpart Tamba Hali.  Hali is getting up there in years, but don’t be fooled, he can still play some very solid football.  Justin Houston is Justin Houston, and when he does make his way back onto the field, he will command the attention of opposing offenses.

Behind those two is Dee Ford.  The 2014 1st round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs hasn’t lived up to his draft stock as of yet, but he has flashed some talent.  He finished last season with some strong performances and the team is clearly hoping he builds on that.

That leaves Dadi Nicolas fighting it out with Frank Zombo and Dezman Moses, plus a few others to round out the roster.  Nicolas has a fighting chance, but he’s not going to be given anything.  Right now I’d look at him as a potential Practice Squad guy.
