KC Chiefs: Five Toughest Tight Ends to Face in 2016
Second Toughest Tight End to Face in 2016 – Delanie Walker
Delanie Walker is mostly known around Kansas City due to playing his college ball at the University of Central Missouri (go Mules!). He spent the early part of his career with the San Francisco 49ers and was on their team when they went to the Super Bowl in the 2012 season.
Walker has continually gotten better as the years have gone on, recording his first 1,000 yard receiving last year.
A few years ago, Walker signed with the Tennessee Titans, mostly so that he could become a true starting tight end in the NFL. He’s done just that.
Walker has continually gotten better as the years have gone on, recording his first 1,000 yard receiving last year. It appeared that having a true quarterback throwing to him in Tennessee proved helpful (duh), as Walker also scored six touchdowns, tied for the best of his career.
Walker is a dangerous weapon in the Tennessee secondary and has the ability to really make plays.
The last time Walker saw the Chiefs was in that horrible season opener in 2014. He didn’t go too crazy, only gaining 37 yards off three receptions, but one of those receptions was in the end zone for a touchdown.
Delanie Walker will be the most difficult part of facing Tennessee in week 15 of the regular season. It’ll be a cold and loud day at Arrowhead Stadium, so hopefully that will help the Chiefs in preventing Walker from having a big day.
