KC Chiefs: Five Toughest Tight Ends to Face in 2016
Third Toughest Tight End to Face in 2016 – Julius Thomas
The KC Chiefs were pretty grateful when Julius Thomas left the AFC West to go play for Jacksonville a season ago. They had to see him twice in 2013 and 2014 when he was with the Broncos, and Thomas saw the end zone twice during those games.
Thomas adds a scary threat in the passing game, and if he can just stay healthy in 2016, he’ll likely deal opponents fits.
Thomas broke out onto the NFL scene in 2013, grabbing 65 passes for 788 and 12 touchdowns. He followed up that impressive campaign with another 12 touchdown season in 2014.
The Broncos couldn’t afford to keep Thomas after 2014 though, and he split for greener pastures, which ended up being Jacksonville.
He only had 455 receiving yards and made it into the end zone five times during his inaugural season with the Jaguars, but Thomas can only get better moving forward. The Jaguars are going to be a team to watch out for in 2016, as they have a young and talented quarterback in Blake Bortles, and a terrifying receiving corps.

Kansas City will see the Jaguars in week nine, and it’ll be played in sunny Jacksonville.
