The tight end position is an important one in the National Football League. The KC Chiefs benefit from having one of the best in the league, but they’ll square off against some pretty tough tight ends this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs have had a nice history of tight ends on their team. Tony Gonzalez broke all kinds of records at the position during his 12 years in Kansas City, and now Travis Kelce looks to build on that.

Despite the KC Chiefs having one of the best tight ends in the league, they’ll face some pretty tough ones on other teams in 2016. With a tight end heavy AFC South on the schedule in 2016, the Chiefs will have their hands full trying to slow these big guys down.

There are some underrated tight ends that Kansas City will have to cover, and then there are others who are just flat out good.

It is worth noting, however, that the Chiefs don’t have to face THE best tight end in the league in Rob Gronkowski (at least not in the regular season). Hopefully they’ll see him in the playoffs though, and hopefully this time Kansas City reigns victorious.

Who are the toughest tight ends that the KC Chiefs will see this season? Let’s take a look.
