Third Best Game So Far in 2016
May 11th: New York Yankees 10 Kansas City 7
In the middle of their first (of multiple) ugly stretch of 2016, the KC Royals took their show to the Bronx where they played a four game series with the Yankees.
Although they lost three of four, the small dimensions of Yankee Stadium made the series exciting nonetheless.
In the second game of the series, Lorenzo Cain put the offense on his back, and did everything he could to give the Royals a chance to win, but the Yankees answered each and every time in the back-and-fourth 10-7 New York victory.
Cain homered three times; once in the third, fifth, and eighth innings, driving in five runs total, but it wasn’t enough as the pitching staff as a whole struggled in this one.
