Fifth Toughest Running Back in 2016 – Lamar Miller

The Houston Texans had themselves an offseason this year and one of their best acquisitions was that of Lamar Miller. Miller spent the first four years of his career with the Miami Dolphins and calculated 2,930 yards during that time. He dove into the end zone 19 times and also had three receiving touchdowns.

His best season came during 2014 when he ran for 1,099 yards and eight touchdowns. If Miller can hit that mark (or close to that mark) again, then the Texans’ offense could be tough to slow down.

If Miller can hit that mark (or close to that mark) again, then the Texans’ offense could be tough to slow down.

The KC Chiefs will get Miller and the Texans in week two of the season, and it’ll be a matchup that Houston is eagerly waiting for. Kansas City knocked the Texans down in two games last season, but the bigger one came during the Wild Card game, when the Chiefs shut out the Texans in Houston.

Miller will provide an offensive spark to the Texans, and with new quarterback Brock Osweiler on board, expect the team to turn to Miller often.

Stopping Miller will be a challenge, but the Chiefs’ defense has been one of the best in the league over the past few seasons. If they can slow him down, victory shall be theirs.
