Kansas State Football: 15 Best Quarterbacks of All-Time
Best Quarterbacks in Kansas State football history: 7. Jake Waters
One of the more familiar names to recent Kansas State football fans is Jake Waters, who spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons as a member of the Wildcats.
Waters had an impressive two-year stint with the Cats, tossing for 5,970 yards, good for third all-time in KSU history. He also had 40 touchdowns to 16 interceptions and did a lot of damage with his legs, rushing for 15 touchdowns in two seasons.

In 2013, Waters led the Wildcats to their first bowl game victory in 11 years, a victory in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl over the Michigan Wolverines. That season saw the Cats go 8-5 and the next season they were even better with a 9-4 record, but lost in the Alamo Bowl to the UCLA Bruins.
Despite his impressive career with the Kansas State football team, Waters went undrafted in 2015. A large part of that was due to surgery he had to have after the season ended. He briefly spent time on the Seahawks’ and Jaguars’ practice squads, but that was about it for the former Wildcat.
He comes in at number seven on this list.
