The KC Royals haven’t necessarily gotten off to the hot start that they did last season, but the team is staying right around .500. Some of the Royals have been pretty disappointing so far this season though.

With a record around .500, the Kansas City Royals are still very much in the race for playoff contention this season. It’s still very early on, and Major League Baseball is a marathon, not a sprint.

There are quite a few guys on the Royals’ roster who haven’t quite figured it out yet, whether it be on the mound or at the plate. These guys have been disappointing to start the year off, and it’s frustrating to watch at times.

Just to clarify, before we get to the list, guys like Christian Colon and Chris Young will not appear on this list. Neither guy had HUGE expectations set for them when heading into the season, but it’s still a bit of a bummer to see Colon sent to the minor leagues and watching Young be as bad as he’s been this season.

Without further ado, let’s take a glance at the five most disappointing members of the Kansas City Royals so far in 2016.
