Hermann Missouri Wineries Number One: Adam Puchta

With around two dozen quality vintages to choose from, Adam Puchta takes the top spot as Hermann’s best overall winery. They offer several selections for each category, with their semi-sweet/dry wines being the standouts.

Hunter’s Red, Cat’s Meow, and Desire are all versatile reds that pair well with a number of dishes, including even desserts. Their Taminette and Misty Valley hold their own as whites.

For those who strictly stick to dryer wines, Nouveau and Situation Red both compete with dry reds from any other winery in the area. Their Chardonel is a fine white, overlaid with a hint of apple and is a great wine just for sipping on the patio.

For those who enjoy sweet and dessert wines, Adam Puchta offers a number of choices where anyone can find something to taste. Their Jazz Berry is a fun wine that is great just to dribble over cheesecake!

There are few, if any, weak spots on this large wine list. If you can’t find something to suit your tastes here, then you didn’t try very hard.

"Summer Hours (May – October) Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Winter Hours (November – April) Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m."

Adam Puchta is on the wine trail and is open normal business hours. There is no excuse for skipping past the best of the Hermann, Missouri wineries.
