. DE. Virginia Tech. DADI NICOLAS. B

With their final pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the KC Chiefs drafted Dadi Nicolas out of Virginia Tech. This was a nice way to close out the draft, as Nicolas could end up being a great depth piece for the Chiefs down the stretch.

He’ll be sitting behind some great mentors on the defense and really could evolve into something more for the KC Chiefs.

I gave this pick a B because Nicolas is a pass rusher and that’s something that the Kansas City Chiefs really covet in their defensive players. I feel like the team passed on early round guys like Reggie Ragland and A’Shawn Robinson due to their inability to rush the passer.

Nicolas is quick off the line and while he probably won’t be a starter, he’s a nice piece in this Chiefs defense. He’ll be sitting behind some great mentors on the defense and really could evolve into something more for the KC Chiefs.

With this being the final pick that Kansas City would have in the draft, they really could have gone with almost anyone. Dadi Nicolas was a good pick though because he provides what the Chiefs look for in their defensive players.

Solid late round pick. We’ll see if it pays off as well as I think it will.
