The Kansas City Chiefs completed their 2016 NFL Draft with nine selections throughout five rounds. They traded out of the first round and traded their seventh rounder, but had some interesting picks.

KC Chiefs fans never really know what to expect when it comes to the NFL Draft. Since John Dorsey has joined the organization in 2013, the team has had a lot of random picks throughout the different rounds of the draft.

This year, fans weren’t super thrilled when Dorsey traded out of the first round, but it was honestly a pretty good move for the team. They didn’t feel a connection to anyone and opted to get more draft picks in the process.

With nine total picks in this year’s draft, there were obviously some good choices and then there were some bad choices.

Overall, the Chiefs selected four players on offense and five players on defense. They went from having seven picks total to having nine, and that’s after they lost their third round pick to tampering. The Chiefs were smart with their trades and increased their chances of finding some middle round talent.

I was pretty content with this year’s bunch, but there were a few head scratchers for sure.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the grades!
