4) Kansas City has three of their last four games at home

As nice as it is to have a favorable early season schedule, the end of the season schedule is more important because it could be the difference between making it to the playoffs or watching from home.

This year, the Chiefs host games at Arrowhead in three of their final four games, which is huge. They’ll host the Raiders, Titans, and Broncos in three straight weeks (two of those games being on primetime) before heading to San Diego to close out the season.

Last year, the Chiefs had a lot of road games early on and hosted games at Arrowhead frequently near the end. This very well could have led to the team having the large amount of success they had near the end of the season, as we’ve seen how the crazy Arrowhead atmosphere has helped this team win big games in the past.

The Chiefs need to take advantage of their late season schedule and state their case as being a legitimate contender in the AFC this year.
