The KC Chiefs haven’t always made the best selections when it comes to the draft. In fact, they’ve had some pretty terrible picks. Who have been the worst in the past five years?

For every guy like Justin Houston or Travis Kelce that the Kansas City Chiefs have landed since 2011, they’ve also drafted some busts. While none of these guys are likely ever going to be as disappointing as Todd Blackledge was back in 1983, the Chiefs have had their fair share of stinkers in the draft.

I won’t be including anyone from last season in this post just because it’s too soon to tell after one year. The players from 2014’s draft class are fair game though. One even cracked this list, though the opportunities for him to be removed from it are still out there.

What qualifies as a bust is basically if the pick the Chiefs spent on them was worth using, and what the team got out of them while they were a member of the Chiefs.

Only one of these guys is still on Kansas City’s roster. The rest were only in town for two seasons tops and some are even out of the league already.
