Teams To Watch Out For In 2016 – Number 2: New York Mets

Last season, the Kansas City Royals defeated the New York Mets in the World Series in just five games. The Royals frustrated the Mets frequently during the World Series, staging comeback after comeback to ultimately take the crown.

We all saw how losing in the 2014 World Series motivated the Royals in 2015. They were so close to winning it all, but came up just short. The Mets weren’t nearly as close, but little mistakes here and there cost them their chance at winning their first title in 29 years.

With the World Series loss behind them, and having to face the Royals when they got to celebrate their victory, the Mets are going to be fired up this season.

Not only that, but the Mets have probably the best pitching rotation in the entire league. With Matt Harvey, Noah Syndergaard, Jacob deGrom, Steven Matz, and Bartolo Colon, the Mets always have a stellar pitcher taking the mound, which can be deadly down the stretch.

While the Mets will likely have a more competitive Washington Nationals team nipping at their heels in the National League East, they’re the favorites to win the division.
