The Royals apparently have unfinished business.

The KC Royals and their fans may have already finished the business that they started out to finish in 2014.

They came all the way back from a crushing defeat to dole out their own punishment in the 2015 campaign.

According to the Royals and their skipper Ned Yost, they aren’t satisfied by that:

"“We were 90 feet away from going for a three-peat this year,” the Royals’ manager said. “Do we still think about it? Yes.” Yost is explaining how conscious his club is of what is possible. The frustration of being so close to a title fueled the championship run last year, and now the potential to be the best Royals era ever, and perhaps even a dynasty, sits out there if Kansas City can go AL pennant, championship, championship."

The Royals have a chance to do something that not a lot of teams can do. They have a shot to be back-to-back World Series champions in 2015 and 2016.

They already came close to accomplishing that feat. In fact, they came about 90 feet away from at least tying a game to give them a chance at that.

Bottom line: Don’t count on this bunch of fun loving baseball players to come out complacent. They’re still dwelling on what could have been, and they have a chance to put that to rest.
