Sixth: Joe Buck – Hosmer’s Mad Dash
The Royals kept fear in the heart’s of Mets’ fans and players until the final out of each and every game of the World Series. For them it could only have felt like waking up from a bad dream only to realize that you’re still in a different bad dream.
They held a lead in every game of the series and only trailed for a few innings. In three of the games that they lost they only trailed at the very end.
Eric Hosmer watched his team fall 90 feet short of tying up a game in the 2014 World Series. He was bound and determined not to let that happen this time.

Joe Buck says either “Royal tie game” or “Wild tie game”, but either way it’s hard not to hear the excitement in his tone. Try and listen to it without bias, even though it’s difficult to do.
