KC Chiefs Roster Options After Houston ACL Catastrophe

This offseason, the KC Chiefs signed Massaquoi in the middle of March 9th. A day which featured countless high profile signings that provided perfect cover for Dorsey’s private intentions to replace Houston.
Currently, his contract remains unspecified on sites like Spotrac and OvertheCap. It appears as though the Chiefs do not currently have the cap to put Massaquoi on the books yet.
Regardless, Dorsey appears to gotten Massaquoi at a discount due to his absence from the league in 2015. Much like Rod Streater, this signing is an investment in past success.
In 2013, in 16 games and four starts, Massaquoi recorded four sacks and 29 tackles.
His best game in 2013 came at the expense of the Green Bay Packers, where he recorded two sacks and six tackles.
Much like the rest of the players I have mentioned, his numbers aren’t awe-inspiring. I don’t personally think its fair to expect shocking numbers from a player who gets inconsistent playing time.
Some could argue that his poor play caused the inconsistent playing time, but, at the end of the day, the viciousness cycles. The truth is, it is not really known what the KC Chiefs have yet in Massaquoi.
At 27-years-old, he’s not too old to ball, so his floor projects to be depth contribution at the moment.
