Second: 2014 ALDS Game One – Game Winning Home Run

The Royals had just come off of one of the most dramatic come from behind wins in postseason history in the American League Wild Card game.

Their first game of the American League Division Series saw them stuck in a extra-innings game again. That’s something they would do a lot of in the 2014 postseason.

Mike Moustakas had enough baseball for one night when he put the Royals ahead in the top of the 11th inning with this solo shot.

He would later record the final out of the game on a pop-fly to third base and the Royals started their trek to sweep the Angles and then the Orioles.

Not only did he put his team ahead in the playoffs, he did so in his home state. It’s not quite as dramatic as it would have been at Kauffman, but it was arguably his biggest moment with the bat.
