Fantasy Baseball 2016: Sleepers Starting Season On Disabled List

Hyun-jin Ryu: ADP – Undrafted
Hyun-jin Ryu didn’t pitch at all in 2015 when he finally gave in and had shoulder surgery. He’s also going to miss up to the first two months of the 2016 season.
His appearance in 2016 is dependent on his recovery. He’s had setback after setback and needs to avoid anymore to salvage the 2016 season.
When healthy, there are few better values the Ryu. While he’s not going to wow you with his strikeout numbers, he’s still close to eight strikeouts per nine innings in his career.
He also has 14 wins in both 2013 and 2014 while posting a career ERA of 3.17. His WHIP during his two years in the Major Leagues is 1.198 so he’s going to be among your team leaders in both of those categories.
Ryu is certainly worth a flyer at the end of your draft and could wind up being one of your best starters in the second-half of the season.
The Dodgers are a good team and should win their fair share of games. Look for Ryu to benefit from that and help you out in wins, ERA, and WHIP categories.
