The Bad: Losing Tyvon Branch

Tyvon Branch might not have been a huge part of the KC Chiefs’ secondary, but he was a good part. He signed a one-year deal with the team last year after sustaining multiple injuries with Oakland prior, and really played pretty well for Kansas City.

Branch signed a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals and the Chiefs now need safety depth behind Eric Berry and Ron Parker.

Branch’s biggest moment last season came when he picked off Derek Carr in Oakland (his former team) and ran it all the way back for a touchdown. It was cool to see Branch get that moment in his old team’s stadium, and the Chiefs will certainly miss him next season.

Husain Abdullah is still on the market so hopefully Dorsey can get him signed to a deal. That will make losing Branch a little more okay.
