KC Royals: Ned Yost is Not a Hall of Fame Manager
By Joel Wagler
Ned Yost is an instrumental part of the recent successes of the KC Royals. His calm leadership helped the Royals make two consecutive World Series appearances.
The Kansas City Royals are lucky to have Ned Yost. The manager who was once fired in September by the Milwaukee Brewers in September, while on the brink of making the playoffs, has enjoyed a resurgence of popularity in Kansas City.
It is deserved popularity. The Royals won only their second World Series in their 47-year history in 2015, and long-suffering fans could not be happier.
One loyal fan, Twitter handle JKuhn (@h8rproof82), suggested this past week that Ned Yost might actually be on the brink of earning a ticket to Cooperstown.
No, JKuhn is not a crazy person. He is a loyal and enthusiastic Royals fan who is a fun follow on Twitter. In this case, though, he is way, way off-base. Evidently, he is not alone.
Nearly 100 people voted in this poll, and 78 percent voted that Yost is a Hall of Fame manager if he wins another World Series ring.
Folks, that ain’t happening!
Yost is a lock to make it into the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame. Heck, depending on what happens over the next couple of season, his number may even get retired. That said, there is no way he is going to Cooperstown as a member of the Hall of Fame.
