One: Eric Hosmer isn’t hitting and made an error. The guy’s a bum.

It’s really incredible that the Royals have made it as far as they have with someone like Eric Hosmer weighing them down. He can’t hit with runners in scoring position and can’t field a baseball to save his life.

So Eric Hosmer isn’t hitting after only two games in Spring Training. Who cares? He’s already proven he can hit in the clutch.

He had 17 RBIs in the postseason last year. That’s good enough to tie for fourth-most in a single postseason. His 29 postseason RBI’s is also a Royals’ record.

His error came on a bad hop but it won’t do anything to put a dent into any one of his three gold glove awards.

If he is going to struggle at all, now is the time to do it. That’s what Spring Training is all about after all. He may have a little rust to knock off, but that’s okay. It’s better now than later.

Eric Hosmer came to Spring Training bulked up, but in a good way. He has kind of filled out his frame and is looking to add a little more power to his already strong batting average. Bottom line: Eric Hosmer is going to be just fine. He hasn’t even come close to his peak.
