When Alex Gordon was rounding the bases in game seven of the 2014 World Series, the Royals and their fans watched with baited breath. The entire off-season leading up to 2015, the ‘what if’ statements surrounded that play.
In 2015, Alex Gordon removed the need for a ‘what if’ statement. He delivered a clutch home run that bailed out his teammate. Then he went ahead and signed a contract this off-season keeps him in Royals’ blue. That epic home run in the World Series made him a hero, but re-signing with the Royals made him a legend.
Alex Gordon has become the leader of the Royals and his hard work and dedication is a symbol that all of his teammates and his fans have come to admire.
